How will my child be kept safe regarding COVID-19?
We have written and published a full operational protocol to explain how we are keeping safe at our camps. This can be viewed on the holiday club page and each individual camp page. We are closely following government guidelines and we encourage you to read our full protocol before making your booking so that you are confident with the provision.
Which group should I book my child onto?
Our groups are based on your child's year group for the current school year. There may be children attending who are not in the suggested age range for that group for example if they are a sibling attending a group with their brother or sister or a child who it has been discussed with the uSports team that they would be better suited to a younger or older age group.
Will siblings be together?
If you are booking multiple children from the same household onto the camp, they will need to join the same group. If they are in different age groups you will need to contact the uSports office to determine the most appropriate group for your children to join.
Can I book my child onto multiple groups?
No, to keep our groups as consistent as possible you need to book onto only one group. You will need to book onto this same group for any subsequent days which you wish your child to attend for in that holiday period.
You do not need to book onto the same group across different holiday periods. For example you do not have to book the same group for Summer and Easter.
My child wants to be with their friend, how can I do this?
If you would like your child to be in the same group as a friend, please make sure to arrange this with the parent or guardian of the other child and make sure to both book onto the same group. Children will not be able to swap groups once the camp has begun.
Do you offer discounts?
10% Sibling Discount
Book your first child on and receive a 10% discount for each additional child you book on. This will be applied automatically. This does not apply to friend or cousin bookings, children must be siblings.

What does my child need to bring?
Your child is more than welcome to bring football boots but trainers are essential. We will provide all necessary equipment for all the sports and activities your child will take part in. On football camps, children are required to bring and use shin pads.
Weather appropriate clothing and items: hats, gloves, change of clothes for rainy days, suncream.
Food! A packed lunch, plenty of water and a few snacks.
What if the weather gets bad?
We have enough gazebos for all children to take shelter under within their assigned groups. Please be aware that we will have minimal or no indoor facilities due to venue and government restrictions. There is also a significantly lower risk of spreading COVID while outside so would always prioritise outdoor activities at this time. We will persevere through any rainy days and ensure that the days are still super fun!
In the case of a day needing to be cancelled due to extreme weather, you will either be able to transfer your booking to another day or can hold your booking fee as a credit towards futue bookings.
What is 'Football Plus'
We will be offering the camp as a ‘Football Plus’ camp. The camp will primarily be focused on football skills and activities. However, due to social distancing restrictions we will also be offering a range of other sports and activities which comply with social distancing regulations. There will be matches held during the day which will not need to adhere to social distancing guidelines, as set out in the FA guidance.
Will you be social distancing?
Yes, we will be following the 1m+ social distancing guidelines within the groups of 15. We will have no more than 3 groups present at any one time and each group will be kept a minimum of 2m apart. If our coaches decide that a child is not able to safely maintain social distancing we reserve the right to terminate their place on the camp.
We are able to play matches which do not need to adhere to social distancing according to FA guidelines, in breaks and throughout the rest of the camp social distancing will be adhered to.
What time do I need to drop off/pick up my child?
Specific start and finish times can be found on the camp specific page. Parents are asked to maintain social distancing when picking up and dropping off children to the camps. Children from different groups may be arriving at the same time as your child so it is essential that all children remain socially distanced during this time.
What happens if someone shows symptoms or tests positive?
Please refer to our full operational protocol to see the procedure in place for this scenario. Our procedure is taken directly from the government guidance for after-school clubs and holiday camps.
How do toilet runs work?
Depending on current guidelines and venue choice toilet runs will work in one of two ways:
1. Coaches will escort children to the toilets inside the venue. These will be regularly cleaned by the venue.
2. Portable toilets will be hired and allocated to each individual group to use throughout the day. These will be regularly cleaned by uSports.
Will coaches be able to help tie shoe laces?
Yes, as this is less than 15 minutes of close interaction our coaches will be able to help to tie up shoe laces. We will ask children to face away while the coach ties up their laces for them.
Will you provide lunch?
No, please provide your child with a packed lunch, snack and a drinks bottle at all venues.
Will you apply suncream
No, we cannot apply sun screen to children. Please send the appropriate factor with your child and we will remind them throughout the day to apply it.
What if my child doesn't enjoy it?
Trust us, they will. But, just for peace of mind we offer a money back guarantee!
What if my child gets injured?
All of our head coaches are First Aid trained. Any injuries will be reported on an accident form which you will be shown at the end of the day. If there is an emergency you will be contacted immediately.
Do you offer half days?
We will not be offering half days at present to ensure that our groups remain consistent throughout the day.
