Reading to Tokyo
Coach Ollie has arranged a fantastic opportunity to keep us all active while also supporting a local charity Sport In Mind. As a community, we will all be pooling together to cover the distance from Woodley to Tokyo in time for the Olympics this year throughout February. That is a distance of 5960 miles and uSports will be donating 5p for every mile covered by our community! We will also be partnering with Reading Athletic Club, Shinfield Running Club, UTC Reading, Pulse Woodley and Woodley United FC to help us in our mission.
How To Take Part
Head over to our Instagram page (@usports_coaching) and follow us for updates and more information. You will need to download Strava and track any contributions you make towards the challenge. Once you have finished your walk, cycle, run or anything else to get you moving, then just take a screenshot and send this through to us via our Instagram page and we will add your contribution to our total distance covered. You can send in as many contributions as you like, the more the better!
We are confident that everyone can support us by adding in some miles as there is no pressure at all for this to be strenuous, competitive or intrusive. But if you would like to support our challenge through a donation you are more than welcome to make a donation directly through our JustGiving page.
YouTube PE Lessons
There is a whole host of content already available to watch on our YouTube channel. Great for parents as well as schools to use to keep children active. We will release a new lesson EVERY Friday at 4pm
Weekly interactive zoom classes led by Coach Isaac! Our first class was so popular we have made this a weekly event every Monday at 10am for 25 minutes throughout lockdown. You will need to book on so that we can send out the zoom links and know who to expect but the sessions are free.
Levels Challenge Download
Free printable sports challenge charts to work on Football, Tennis and Basketball skills. Your child can tick of the challenges to work on their skills and keep focused on a physical goal. PLUS video tutorials for each chart will be posted on our Instagram and YouTube channels.
