Meet Our New Schools Manager at uSports

As we continue to grow and develop, new opportunities keep arising at uSports. We are proud to introduce you to Paul who will be joining the team in our brand new Schools Manager role.

Paul joins the team with many years of sports coaching experience in schools. Paul has worked as a sports coach in a range of settings including delivery of his own sessions as well as roles within schools including as a Director of Sport and Sports Coordinator. Paul has a wealth of knowledge on sport and PE for children from nursery age and up including football, gymnastics, dance and much much more! Paul has even worked for uSports as a self-employed coach in the pass so he may be a familiar face to some of you! We are so pleased that he is returning to uSports in this new role.

The Role

The primary responsibility of the Schools Manager is ensuring that the uSports philosophy is fully embedded throughout our schools’ programme by working to maintain and improve the quality of service in our school and nursery settings.

Some of the tasks which you can expect to see the Schools Manager carrying out are:

Maintaining Quality

  • Conducting regular school and nursery visits to review and reflect on the provision in our settings

  • Mentoring all school and nursery coaches to help them to reach their greatest coaching potential

  • Mentoring Apprentice Sports Coaches

School Communication

  • Liaising with schools and nurseries to ensure they are happy with the provision in their setting

  • Acting as a point of contact alongside the Operations Manager for our schools

Session Implementation

  • Implementing curriculum maps to ensure children are given opportunities to develop

  • Communicating with coaches to fully explain expectations and core goals for each session

We are very excited to see what opportunities and development Paul will be able to bring to uSports through this new role and we are sure you as our schools and nurseries will have the opportunity to meet and speak to Paul soon!

Welcome to the team Paul 🥳
