But Everyone Loves a Bit of Football Right?
Within the business we have a number of fantastic football coaches led by our Football Development Manager who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
Our FA Qualified coaches deliver a range of football specific sessions including 1:1 sessions, development centres & grass roots football coaching with our partnered clubs.
How can our FA coaches support your grass roots team...?
OUR CURRENTLY PARTNERED CLUBS
Providing A Coach
Like you, we want to inspire as many children to have a positive experience with sport. Our coaches will be able to deliver high quality sessions for your players to engage more young people in football.
We understand it can be difficult to ensure you have enough coaches with a true passion for football for each of your teams or sessions so this is where we can step in to help you to strengthen your grass roots coaching team.
Our Coaches Can...
Work with a specific age group
Work with a specific team
Attend matches with their team
Mentoring A Coach
We can help you to create a legacy of high quality coaching for your club. We are able to provide mentors who can support individual coaches to build their confidence and to get the most out of every session all while in the comfort of their own environment.
What Would A Mentoring Programme Look Like?
INITIAL SELF REVIEW
An opportunity for honest self-judgment to get the most out of the programme.
Coaches will reflect on a range of attributes involved in the delivery of football sessions
PERSONALISED DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Mentors will use the initial self review and will liaise with the coach to determine what will be focused on during the programme
Providing an opportunity for coaches to observe how to deliver effective football sessions. Mentors will interact with coaches throughout to explain thought processes and decisions made.
COACHES INCREASE SESSION DELIVERY
Beginning with warm-ups, coaches will put into practice the skills observed and discussed with their mentor.
Mentors will feedback at the end of each session and will provide guidance as to how to make progress.
Coaches will progress to delivering full sessions.
FINAL SELF REVIEW
Coaches will again complete a self review to assess their ability to deliver football sessions while reflecting on the progress made over the programme.
The mentor will create a final reflection of the coach's progress which can be used to evidence professional development via a graph.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM MENTORING?
Just about anyone!
Everyone can always find new things to learn, new skills to pick up and new strategies to have a go at.
Coaches who might particularly benefit may include:
Coaches with no formal training
Coaches who would like to try new ideas
It can be hard for coaches to find the time to focus on their own development but it is so important for all of us to continue pushing to do better and to try new things. This is why we run tailored CPD training events to help build a legacy of high quality coaching in your club.
Topics Could Include...
Knowing how to develop players
Creating safe, fun & engaging sessions
How to include goalkeepers in your sessions
Meeting the needs of different players in a session
As well as the above ideas, we can also tailor a CPD event specifically to the needs of your club with the knowledge of FA qualified coaches to help you to support your coaches & players.
