How Does It Work?

uSports offers one-to-one support to help schools cater to the specific needs of their students. Our specialist coaches work closely with SEND, vulnerable, or disengaged pupils to provide assistance in accessing both PE lessons and the wider curriculum.

Here's how our one-to-one support works:

  • Support in Various Subjects: Our coaches work directly with named children, assisting them in subjects such as Maths, English, PE, and other areas of the curriculum.

  • Flexible Attendance: Coaches can be scheduled for the full school day, morning, or afternoon, depending on the specific needs of the school and the individual student.

  • Prompting and Encouragement: Coaches prompt and encourage named children during their lessons, providing guidance and support to enhance their learning experience.

  • Movement Breaks: Our coaches assist students in recognising when they may need a movement break and teach them how to effectively utilise this time in a controlled and supported manner. Coaches can accompany the student during the break or provide support from a distance, depending on the individual's requirements.

  • Support for Other Students: In addition to assisting the named child, our coaches are available to support other students in the class as appropriate. This allows them to promote independence for the named child while ensuring a controlled environment with the coach nearby.

  • Tailored Provision: We understand that each school and learner is unique. Therefore, our one-to-one support can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your school, ensuring a personalised and effective approach.

Please note that the breakdown provided here is a general overview, and we are always ready to customize our provision to suit the individual requirements of each school and learner.
