How Does It Work?
Our Young Leaders Programme is designed to empower older children and develop their leadership skills while promoting the value of sports in your school. Here's how the programme works:
Duration:
The programme runs for a duration of 12 weeks, providing ample time for the young leaders to enhance their skills and make a positive impact.
Once Weekly uSports Coaching Session:
Once a week, or as frequently as desired, our experienced uSports coaches will work closely with a group of older children. During these coaching sessions, the young leaders will learn how to plan, organize, and deliver sports clubs to younger children.
Remaining Days Of The Week:
On the remaining days of the week, the young leaders will have the opportunity to put their training into practice. They will take on the responsibility of leading games and activities for younger children during break times. This hands-on experience allows them to apply their newly acquired skills and gain confidence in their ability to engage and inspire their peers.
What else will students get from the programme:
Feedback and Support: After each session with the uSports coach, the young leaders will receive valuable feedback and guidance. The coach will provide constructive input to help them improve their delivery and enhance their leadership skills. This feedback loop ensures continuous growth and development throughout the programme.
Additional Support: If desired, the uSports coach can attend school on more days to provide further support and supervision. They can observe the young leaders delivering their own sessions and offer guidance and assistance as needed, ensuring a smooth transition into independent leadership.
Certificates of Achievement: At the end of the programme, all participating students will receive certificates of achievement. These certificates recognize their commitment, dedication, and growth as young leaders within the school community.
Our Young Leaders Programme offers a structured and engaging pathway for older children to develop their leadership abilities and contribute to the sports development within your school. Through a combination of coaching sessions, practical experience, feedback, and support, we empower young leaders to become confident, responsible, and inspiring role models.
