Over the summer I was approached to speak on BBC News about the Conservative Leadership Election as a local business owner. It was a great opportunity to be able to share my thoughts and opinions and to step out of my comfort zone. I am always willing to try new things and take on new opportunities. This allowed me to develop my public speaking experience which is something that uSports has really allowed me to develop over the last year.
Earlier this month, I was also nominated for the Pride of Reading Entrepreneur Award. This was really appreciated and is a great motivator to keep on going with uSports. At times, running your own business can be tough! It is easy to get down-heartened at times. Nominations like this are a great reminder of how far we have come. We are supporting an ever growing number of individuals to find employment and of course we are helping more and more kids every day to develop a love for sport!
