Last night, we had a fantastic time celebrating with 50 members of the uSports team! We had a fantastic night full of bingo, quizzes, awards & lots of laughs! This was our biggest ever social and it was honestly such a proud moment for both Charlie and I to be able to look round the room and see everyone having such a fantastic time. Thank you to everyone who came along ๐
As well as having our fantastic bingo callers Ruby & Angel entertaining the team, we also were able to hand out a number of awards to recognise our team. This is something which we have always wanted to do so to be able to put together an event with so many people in attendance to allow us to host our very first awards was fantastic!

Jimmy joined uSports as a self-employed coach two years ago, delivering occasional sessions with uSports. Since this time, Jimmy has made incredible progress in his coaching and confidence. We are incredibly proud to have Jimmy working in the team, having come through the uSports apprenticeship programme and now moving into a Head Sports Coach role with uSports.

Herbert puts such an incredible amount of care into his sessions. From learning how to play Quidditch for sports day to delivering our Young Leaders sessions, Herbert has thrown himself into every session to ensure that the children and young people who he works with are always put first.
๐ Always With A Smile
Louise is such a positive presence in the office and has made a massive impact not only in the office but also on the whole uSports community. Whatever the question, issue or concern, Louise always addresses her work with a smile on her face.
๐ Above & Beyond
Ben is a caring and compassionate coach who is always ready to go the extra mile. Nothing is ever too much for Ben; he is always ready to help the whole team. Ben has also made a massive impact on the lives of the young people he has supported, notably helping a young person with SEND to access a sports apprenticeship purely just to help him have a positive experience with sports and begin his journey in coaching off his own back.
๐ Biggest Energy
Ruby brings fantastic energy with her to every session, visit to the office, and bingo caller gig at our social! Ruby's power has helped her become a powerful coach who makes excellent progress after joining us full-time from the Piggott Coaching Academy this year.
๐ Long Service
It is with a heavy heart that we need to announce that Kieran will be leaving uSports at Christmas ๐ข Kieran has worked with uSports from the very start having joined as a self-employed coach, becoming our very first contracted coach and continuing to progress through the business up to the role of Recruitment Manager. Kieran is moving out of the sports coaching industry but is staying in recruitment. We wish Kieran all the best, but we can't quite imagine uSports without him yet!
๐ Mentor Of The Year
We had a very worthy winner in Rob for Mentor Of The Year! The work which Rob puts in to help the coaches in uSports to develop really doesn't go unnoticed by the whole team. Rob genuinely cares about the development of every coach in the business and it is from Rob's passion to support others that his role of Education Manager was created. We are a people business so to look after our coaches is one of the most important things that we do every day.
๐ Office Team Member Of The Year
In the fastest growing role within the business, Jack our Schools Manager was a fantastic choice to win this prize! Since taking on the role, the number of school coaching hours has doubled and Jack has worked tirelessly to ensure that every coach & school are happy with their sessions and to constantly try to improve our quality of service. Not only does Jack work devotedly in his role but he always does it with a smile. Whatever the call, message or email, Jack is always able to keep a level head and to keep positive in any situation.
๐ Contracted Coach Of The Year
Another worthy winner in Tom for Contracted Coach of the Year! Tom is such a diverse coach who can adapt to a wide range of sessions and is always in high demand from our schools & nurseries. We are very proud to have Tom working with uSports for his coaching, postivity & caring nature. Tom has an excellent work ethic and has even managed to work for the last few weeks without a car without a single complaint!
๐ Self-Employed Coach Of The Year
A landslide victory for Owen and it is no surprise! Owen has really embedded himself into the uSports team since joining us in the last school year. Owen has made excellent progress in his coaching and has a real committment to development. Starting with work experience, he has progressed from an assistant to a lead coach even now beginning to deliver his own PE lessons.
๐ Young Entrepreneur of The Year for South East England
As you may have already seen, Charlie has been awarded the accolade of Young Entrepreneur of The Year for the South East of England! Charlie and I decided not to attend the awards night recently, while it would have been a fantastic experience we felt that we could make better use of the money which we would have spent on attending the awards night to instead put on this event for all of our coaches and staff. Charlie and I paused for a moment on the night and looked around the room. To see so many people here because of uSports chatting, laughing & having a good time was a really significant moment for us both. Everyone in this room was here because of the hard work and dedication which Charlie has put in over the past six years and to have so many people together in the room really helped us to appreciate where uSports has come. We knew that we absolutely made the right decision to instead put on this event to celebrate Charlie's award with the people who help to make everything possible.
